SWRK 678 : Assessing Mental Health/Illness
An introduction to a comprehensive assessment of mental health. It includes the elements of a formal psychiatric interview based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder (IV) and the mental status examination. The relevance and structure of a psychosocial assessment based on the Person-In-Environment classification system is discussed. Interviewing techniques and skills clarified.
