SWRK 675 : Particular Populations

Course Description

This course examines emerging treatment issues in the area of addictions in relations to special needs of particular populations: women, unborn fetus, elderly, mentally ill, H.I.V. positive drug users. Issues of cultural sensitivity in relation to assessment and treatment and social support will be explored as well as available community resources to meet specific needs.
