SWRK 661 : Themes in Bereavement
This course covers topics of current practice intrest. Each year three topics will be selected for in-depth study building on the introductory material presented in the first course. topics will be selected from the following: cross-cultural issues in bereavement, ethical issues related to end of life (euthanasia, assisted suicide, the right to die), sudden death (suicide, murder, accidents), children's grief, spirituality and impact of bereavement work on the professional. Theoretical perspectives will be combined with practice applications.
