CTPT 445 : Rail Transport Management 2

Course Description

This course is a continuation of the prerequisite course and covers more advanced aspects of rail transportation management, with particular emphasis on railroad organization and management systems. The topics covered include general considerations of organizational structure, control communications, business policy and strategy, management style and employee development, railway organization, comparison with other transportation subsystems, terminal operations, supporting staff groups, running trades, local operations, marketing, intermodal business, planning budgeting, financial rail service, future development in rail transport.
